Leh, Ladakh | 26 September 2025 — Ladakh ke Leh mein is hafte protest statehood aur Sixth Schedule ki demand ko lekar violent ho gaye. Protest ke dauran 4 log ki maut ho gayi aur kai log injured hue. Police ne curfew lagaya, internet bandh kiya aur famous activist Sonam Wangchuk ko arrest kar liya.

Leh Mein Kya Hua?

24–25 September ko Leh mein log statehood aur Constitution ke Sixth Schedule mein inclusion ke liye ekatha hue. Pehle protest peaceful tha, lekin baad mein kuch log sarkari offices aur BJP office ki taraf march karne lage.

Reports ke hisaab se protestors ne gaadiyon aur BJP office ko aag lagayi. Police ne pehle lathi charge aur tear gas use ki, phir firing bhi hui jisme casualties hui.

Friday ko police ne Sonam Wangchuk ko press conference se pehle arrest kar liya. Saath hi unke NGO ka FCRA license bhi cancel kar diya gaya, government ne compliance violation bataya.

Wangchuk ne allegations ko galat batate hue kaha ki “yeh violence Ladakh ke youth ki frustration hai, jo saalon se promises pure na hone par phoot ke bahar aayi hai.”
